Ruth Green, a resident of Santa Barbara for over 30 years, has been involved in education policy both at the state and local level. Green served as a trustee on the Santa Barbara Elementary and High School Districts Board of Education (2000-2003.)
In 2004 Green was appointed to the California State Board of Education and served as its president and member until 2008. More recently in 2021-22, Green served on Superintendent Moldanado’s Early Literacy Task Force for the Santa Barbara Unified School District.
