Steve moved from the Midwest to Santa Barbara with his family in 1963 after his father accepted a position with The University of California at Santa Barbara. Having spent most of his life in Santa Barbara, Steve’s hobbies are active ones that lend themselves to the Southern California lifestyle such as sailing, flying, Frisbee dog competitions, beach volleyball, motorcycling, wine, cooking and squash.

Steve is active with The Santa Barbara Maritime Museum (board member, past President), Board President of The Common Table Foundation, Co-Founder and Chairman of The California Concern, The Foundation for Santa Barbara City College (former board member), Transition House (board member, past President), and The Santa Barbara Bowl (facility committee). Steve is serving his second term, as appointed by The Santa Barbara City Council, on the Measure C Oversight Committee. Steve is on The Board of Directors for The Coast Village Association as well as The University Club. Steve also serves The Santa Barbara Region Chamber of Commerce as a member of the Board of Directors, as well as the Public Policy Committee and the PAC Committee. Steve has been active with the American Cancer Society and Surgical Eye Expeditions, has been the Vice-Chairman of the Programs Committee, has served on the Professional Standards Committee at The Santa Barbara Association of Realtors, and has been a Director on the Semana Nautica board.

Steve and The Epstein Partners have been serving their valued clients since 1988, solidifying their local standing by consistently being in the top 1% of all Santa Barbara Real Estate agents.  They have successfully sold ± 2,600 homes totaling more than two billion dollars in closed real estate transactions over the past 35+ years.
